The Best Way to Meditate

7

benifits of meditation 150x150 The Best Way to MeditateThere are no specific rules when it comes to meditating. It is all about giving yourself time to do it. When you feel that the things you’ve been doing have been detrimental to your growth, you definitely need some “me time.” The goal is to have a way to care for yourself so that you are able to keep your sanity during the roughest and toughest of situations.

Before you begin, you need to look at something that makes you feel happy. Then make sure that you sit comfortably as you focus on that object. Close your eyes and see that chosen object in your mind. Let go and explore your imagination. When you have gone as deep as you can, you can open your eyes and repeat the process two or more times if you want. Once you feel that you’ve reached the end of the journey, you can now focus on your breathing. This time, you have to let go so that when you open your eyes, you see that object in a different perspective.

Try not to make too many assumptions. When it comes to meditating, there is no right and wrong. If you limit yourself too much, you won’t be able to explore all the possibilities available for you. Take things as they are and just relax. Just one thing you need to be vigilant about is the way you sit. Keep your spine straight so that the spiritual energy moves seamlessly up and down your spine. Should you suffer from back problems, it is perfectly alright to lean your back on something for support. Because the practice of meditation goes beyond any belief or religion, you can call on a higher power for assistance.

Given time and a whole lot of commitment, you can establish feeling of separation. Despite the continuing movement outside your quiet little world, you can separate your mind from reality and clear it from any form of negativity. When you suffer from the effects of your old ways, you get the chance to let it all go. You can only tolerate so much of the hustle and bustle.

People who have learned to benefit from this universal source of energy have made themselves open to success. Meditation has given their inner convictions a voice. They establish connection with the person that they can be deep inside so that they can focus on their goals. If they choose to let go of detrimental addictions and habits, they have to know what to do in case something goes wrong. The experts know that they shouldn’t box themselves and limit their talents. Yes, meditation has made this possible. If it goes against its very claims, then why has it been around for thousands of years? The only way something perpetuates is when it can actually deliver what it promises.

If you open your mind to new ways, meditation can teach you to establish a form of link with the universal source energy from which we all sprung forth. Moreover, you will also learn how to keep your thoughts on what you intend to create. You are more open to opportunities so that you’ll know when to act. For decades, people from every corner of the globe have sought the benefits of meditation in one form or another. Many people have now discovered its ability to momentarily separate them from the material aspects of the world so they can see the greater part of who they are. Meditation has been utilized to open up minds so that it is able to take in the greater kind of wisdom.  The practice has opened the doors of communication between you and your mind.

Let go into the flow when meditating. Suspend judgement; their is no right or wrong way to meditate. Removing labels is the essence of meditation.

  2. Bring the awareness to the tip of the nose.
    Be mindful of the breath
As it travels past the tip of the nose

    or

Bring your awareness to your abdomen
Be mindful of the rise and fall

    If thoughts flutter by
    Come back to the breath

This is so true, having a focal point will help you to get to that point of separation. You can use music, water sounds, or concentrate on your breathing, but as you point out, keep your spine straight.

There is no right way to meditate. What works well for one, may not work well for others. Finding clarity, peace anc calm can be different from person to person. I find it helpful to use one of my comfortable meditation chairs and music while I meditate. Others, however, like complete silence. Great post!
